The junkman's rest of the room panoramic

Post by junkman »

Thought I'd snap a few of the rest of the stuff, I put it in here since various makes. It is pretty much utter kaos in the room right now, but actually the cleanest it has been in a long time, there is actually a pathway to the bench now. I'm up to around 175 or so now, here is most, still some scattered in the attic and garage, but for the most part the whole collection. here you go!

You are joking, right?
You have got 2 lifetimes worth of R/C there.
Looks like a hobby shop.
Love it.

Scr8p's is far worse, and I am going to show this to my wife, the next time she says something about mine--what's in the AE boxes in the corner? :D

well, a lot of the stuff finds me, there are a few friends of mine that could care less about the old stuff but know if they can dig some up and need a quick buck I am the go to guy. I usually keep a couple revos, or jatos or something around because thats want they want and we will do some swapping. I really don't too often get rid of the older stuff, but will trade around some. I have been on a 1/8 brushless kick lately, so the vintage has been on the backburner for some time. Mostly just parts in the ae boxes. I don't have any nib ae kits at all, some tamiya's but that about it. Most of my stuff is runner quality. It's not a collection overnite, probably over the past 15 years or so. About 5 years ago I sold a bunch of stuff to build a 1:1 car, and have regretted it every since. I let a bunch of tamiyas go, (a nib 959 and a nib optima mid se being 2 of them) and several ae that I had actually restored, I kick myself all the time for it.

glad you linked that, I hadn't seen that thread. I guess that's what I get for not being around in a while. Well, I got to say I feel better about mine now, and fit right in with most. scr8p's makes me miss my old basement, There's Just something about a junked up basement. The red paint was kind of a present from my wife, she thought it would look cool with tamiya banners, and such, havn't made it that far yet. Cracks me up some of those work areas look like an architectural studio or something, how does any work get don in there?

ya i make an effort to clean mine up a little every couple weeks. but its still a wreak. but if i don't put some cleanup work on every so ofter i can't seem to ever find anything. but trust me don't feel bad. i'm up to 15 cars and only been working on it for a little less than a year. just think of what mine will look like this time next year.

i have 8 or 9 banners i have picked up so far. i had them hanging up for a while but that was mostly to allow the wrinkles yo flatten out some. i figure i can hang then up one day after i get my track done. who knows.

That's for sure!

Yikes!
Projects and shelfers:
Late Edinger, RC10B2, Dual Sport, GT, Kyosho Turbo Ultima, Triumph, Tamiya Sand Scorcher, Blackfoot/Monster Beetle, '67 Beetle, Nikko Rhino, Traxxas Fiero, Slash, Hand-built Dune Buggy..all on here somewhere...
