Thought I'd snap a few of the rest of the stuff, I put it in here since various makes. It is pretty much utter kaos in the room right now, but actually the cleanest it has been in a long time, there is actually a pathway to the bench now. I'm up to around 175 or so now, here is most, still some scattered in the attic and garage, but for the most part the whole collection. here you go!
well, a lot of the stuff finds me, there are a few friends of mine that could care less about the old stuff but know if they can dig some up and need a quick buck I am the go to guy. I usually keep a couple revos, or jatos or something around because thats want they want and we will do some swapping. I really don't too often get rid of the older stuff, but will trade around some. I have been on a 1/8 brushless kick lately, so the vintage has been on the backburner for some time. Mostly just parts in the ae boxes. I don't have any nib ae kits at all, some tamiya's but that about it. Most of my stuff is runner quality. It's not a collection overnite, probably over the past 15 years or so. About 5 years ago I sold a bunch of stuff to build a 1:1 car, and have regretted it every since. I let a bunch of tamiyas go, (a nib 959 and a nib optima mid se being 2 of them) and several ae that I had actually restored, I kick myself all the time for it.
glad you linked that, I hadn't seen that thread. I guess that's what I get for not being around in a while. Well, I got to say I feel better about mine now, and fit right in with most. scr8p's makes me miss my old basement, There's Just something about a junked up basement. The red paint was kind of a present from my wife, she thought it would look cool with tamiya banners, and such, havn't made it that far yet. Cracks me up some of those work areas look like an architectural studio or something, how does any work get don in there?
ya i make an effort to clean mine up a little every couple weeks. but its still a wreak. but if i don't put some cleanup work on every so ofter i can't seem to ever find anything. but trust me don't feel bad. i'm up to 15 cars and only been working on it for a little less than a year. just think of what mine will look like this time next year.
i have 8 or 9 banners i have picked up so far. i had them hanging up for a while but that was mostly to allow the wrinkles yo flatten out some. i figure i can hang then up one day after i get my track done. who knows.
Reading around on here the past couple days has kind of got me in the mood to piddle with the rc10's, for the most part I've just collected them for a rainy day over the past few years, stashing them under the shelf. Thought I'd drag them out and...

After being bit by the bug at the Vintage Nationals, I really want to try to get out to some good racing for some photo ops. There is not much of a racing scene in Northern AL, but this is my tentative schedule:
- Sept 20 - Whitehouse Hobbies,...

i was flabbergasted about a month ago when a gas station in soho, ny had cheaper gas than what i pay.
I recently built a Kyosho Scorpion and I am very impressed with the scale, quality, and realism.
Let's talk re-releases. Tamiya has like 30, but Tamiya makes plastic body backyard bashing toys not really meant for racing. The metal parts are all...
I managed to score a A pan six gear car this weekend for $60 from my brother. I hope to take this :
And make it look (sort of) like this:
It's my first RC10 from ~1987-89 time frame. The pics are two different vintages of it. I had dyed all...

OK, I ended up finding a chassis that was a dead ringer for my old car, and I gave a half hearted effort into finding the Texaco decals but came up short. I put this together mainly as a rebuild to sell but I think it's a close replication of the...
Hey guys, I was wondering if any body else has had to take a car apart and put it back in the kit box to make room for other projects. I don't have the largest collection in the forum, but just running out of room. My cars/trucks are confined to a...

I would love to hear what Bob has to say, should be informative.
I also have a few decent tool boxes that are organized into section by parts and such, and another few smaller portable tool boxes with electronics and small tools in them.
Just wanted to show off my new hobby room. Around this time last year I moved into this house which had a virgin basement. I finally was able to build a dedicated hobby room! This is what I came up with. Room is only 10x10 but has plenty of counter...

Awesome hobby room. 8)
You should recover that cub yourself. It is not as hard as it looks, especially when its only one color.
Just finished my display room - I hoped to have all the stuff in one room. But I ran out of shelves before I ran out of cars.
Most important, the dungeon was cleared out so no more moist and damp.
Guess I´ll have to do a second room for the rest of...
