stupid question. I see some cars with the front body mount fitted to the nose plate while others like the one in the World's car manual is fitted on to the steering mount. Is it just a preference thing or some kind of philosophy behind it?

They are current production from at least one maker (GPM). Alloy, though.

Think I saw somewhere on here a guide on where (or how to work out where) to drill the buggy bodyshell in the correct position so that you get a nice clean hole, that lines up with the front body post - taking into account the fact that the post is...

I think I recall scr8p mentioning to cut the body hole some point further forward than where the mount touches the body in a thread somewhere, so you aren't just dreaming that.

Can someone please advise on the correct front shock mount for the WCS.

I see Masami used cut down/rounded off front and rear mounts compared to those supplied in the kit.

However as so many of the build seem to be a standard 94 front...

I just mounted up my front suspension with Klein arms and the longer GT front shaft. My stock RC10 inner hinge pin mount was too narrow for the Klein arm so I used a spacer (about 1/4 thick).
