Hole Centre Position for RC10 Front Body Mount

Post by DerbyDan »

Think I saw somewhere on here a guide on where (or how to work out where) to drill the buggy bodyshell in the correct position so that you get a nice clean hole, that lines up with the front body post - taking into account the fact that the post is at an angle. I don't want to end up having an ugly slot in the front of my Protech :D

Can anyone remember the thread in which this was discussed - or have the info to hand?

Thanks in advance

Dan

I cut out the body and get the wing tubes and rear mount lined up first then drill or ream them . Then I just eye ball where the body is going to line up at the base of the front mount and drill.

Thanks rctenracer... yeah, I guess thats how I would have gone about it myself... just that, having read something on here - I guess i'm being lazy & thought if someone had come up with a definitive method for getting the hole in the right place I might aswell use the info :D

I think I recall scr8p mentioning to cut the body hole some point further forward than where the mount touches the body in a thread somewhere, so you aren't just dreaming that.
