My son and I both have one.

They are great little trucks and surprisingly fast for their size. I found out all too soon that the rear hub carriers are weak. I would recomend you replace them with some aluminum ones.

I've got 2 of them. One I gutted and started making a flat pan chassis for. I have not gotten around to buying the micro electronics for it yet as I got sidetracked on other projects after I found this site. :)

I have seen some awesome deals on ebay for Mini T's. IMO the 18T is a better vehicle. I have both the Mini T and 18T and the 18T drives circles around the mini T

I saw a video of an 18T with a brushless set up, absolutely nuts. Wish I could remember where that was.

i dont remember where i saw it, but there is a rc18 clone being made.

i dont have any hands on exp with either a mini-t or rc18, but just from the looks and the drivetrain i would opt for the rc18 over the mini-t.
