Does anyone feel bad/guilty using rare old NIP parts?

When it's R/C related, but doesn't fit anyplace else.

Does anyone feel bad/guilty using rare old NIP parts?

Post by aconsola »

I gotta say that Iwas feeling a little naughty last night when I started my latest losi build.
opening up a purple anodized motor plate, mip dogbone conversion kit. RPM gear cover and rpm outdrives actually made me a little nervous.

There are only so many of these parts left NIP.

Someone smack me out of it, I've got a whole pile of parts waiting to get built-up

ARE YOU NUTS??????????? PUT THEM BACK IN THE BAGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as nice as it is to look at sealed, rare, nip parts, it's even better to actually use them. :)

I bet some of you guys are keeping the labels of every package you open

Admitted , I've started doing something similar recently, but for whole other reasons.
I've started taking pictures of the unpacked paarts with the label right after opening the bags. Why?
- Some guys on other sites are asking me about the partnr's I used for this or that project and I couldn't tell them.
- But worse: I have parts on some projects I would really like to use on others to, but no way to identify them as I upacked them years ago.

Parts

I don't think they were ever manufactured to not be opened and assembled.

Parts on their own are sad. Collect a kits worth and assemble that's what I say. :D
