Online status

Post by vintage racer »

Lately I have noticed that some individuals are posting replies but it doesnt show that they are online. Is their an option to hide if your online and if so why would anyone feel the need to hide. Why would that option even need to exist.Seems a bit shady to me.

Thanks for that,I must have missed those threads.I still think its wierd that someone would want to hide, its either sus or a severe paranoia problem thinking that people want to follow them and know what their reading.Im online here most of the time and prowd of it.This site is the best RC site in the world.Mods feel free to delete this thread.I need to go through the archives before starting a new thread as Ive done it more than once.

I freely admit to having a hidden online status now days. Not that Im hiding anything. I just think there's always two sides to every situation and I dont see why others need to know what someone else is looking at.

Not to beat a dead horse(Guns N Roses), but maybe some people just don't want everyone else to know how much they're on here for fear that they'll think: "Man, that guy needs to get a life!" I'm married with a kid so I have no life anyway...  . Actually, I usually will log in at work in the a.m. and leave it on all day in a seperate window, and the same at home pretty much. I might be away from the puter for several hrs at a time even though I'm logged in. I think it's cool to know who else is on-line though. I never really noticed the option until the last time it came up. I personally won't use it, but I don't care if other people choose too. I figure they have their reasons.
