Chassis and parts id help please?
Came with a gold tub I just picked up. I have no idea except some parts definitely look Kyosho to me.

hey Gary,
That's a kyosho triumph....came after the ultima around 91. It comes with a belt drive trans. Looks like you're missing some rear end pieces (parts that hold the rear arms in place), the trans, the top plate, shocks and a couple other small items.
Regards,
Roger

Thanks for the info Roger. I'm still debating what to do with this one. It's way different than any of my other Kyoshos.

I'm in the same boat as you. I've had several triumphs through out the years...but for some reason, I keep getting rid of them. Recently got rid of a ton of parts and traded the transmission last year for some yokomo wheels and tires.RedScampi wrote:Thanks for the info Roger. I'm still debating what to do with this one. I'd say keep it for a while also: there's some usefull parts should you start scratch-building, the wheels work on an ultima and are easier to find tires for, some parts are wanted for runners. Whatever happens with it, you're going to get more fun/money for it parted out, than sold as half a car.
Re: Chassis and parts id help please?
Yeah, you guys are right. I saw a couple Triumphs on the bay yesterday, one was $300 with no bids, the other one was a fixer without a top deck. It seemed reasonable at $140 until I saw the shipping.
In any case I'll hang onto this, I have several Kyoshos in need of work. Maybe I could come up with a cool kitbash.

Re: Chassis and parts id help please?
Mine has the front section kept together by glue. I found pro-x and pro-xrt parts that would replace most of the front with ease. But I like those parts so much I'd like to use them for something else also. CHOICES too hard
