I'll wait until the motor is put back in the right place...

Post by Diggley »

I like it, but dammit..
Why can't VW put the motor back in the right spot?

I guess they just don't get it.

It's worked for Porsche for more than a few decades...

It's the iconic equivalent of offering a 4 cylinder Camaro, or front drive Mustang, or hybrid Challenger.

:? **ugh**

When they start heading in the right direction in 2017, I may be interested again.
Projects and shelfers:
Late Edinger, RC10B2, Dual Sport, GT, Kyosho Turbo Ultima, Triumph, Tamiya Sand Scorcher, Blackfoot/Monster Beetle, '67 Beetle, Nikko Rhino, Traxxas Fiero, Slash, Hand-built Dune Buggy..all on here somewhere...

I spent the whole weekend working on my VW. As far as I'm concerned, I'm going to put my aircooled in the right spot, the dumpster!

Hah.

About as cool as the last one was ...

I really really don't get how the bug was a "cool" car. God awful uncomfortable, gutless, cold, face smashed against the windshield ... Need more be said?

Looks like a PT Cruiser Ran into the back of a New Beetle... and all the last remaining heart and soul was crushed in the impact.

Course, that's just my opinion, and I do collect Schumachers and PBs..... but I think it looks hideous....

At least the Porche was German ... Oh, wait a minute! ...  I have never been a fan of the Porche either. If you like fugly, uncomfortable rides, ok, I guess, but you can do much better for a whole lot less. Yugo and Fiesta come to mind, both as comfortable as a Porche and both with vastly more performance than a bug, even the new version of the pregnant roller skate populating the roadways today.
