Finally got a Worlds Car :)
Well found a nice on on e-bay and found out the guy lived blocks away! Shot him and e-mail and picked it up a couple hours later. Car was only ran a couple times and then stored away. Everything is in great shape except the rear bulkhead, but he has a new in so no problem. First RC10 in 2 years
I'm suprised EVERYTHING is black, did all the kits come this way?
Now to get a Mr. Lex repro and get a replica in the works!

What's wrong with that body, doesn't look too bad to me. Looks like you got a great car.

X2, that body is a very good box art replica, unless it's painted on the outside like 2 of minea01butal wrote:What's wrong with that body, doesn't look too bad to me. Looks like you got a great car.
The later worlds cars did come in all black plastic, do you have a closeup pic of the spring collars, I would bet they are the B2 type

Hmmmmm- I never thought of the B2 type turnbuckles as well. That make it a bit easier to finish restoring one for sure
Oh I won another worlds for being correct, but it came 2 weeks ago

Re: Finally got a Worlds Car :)
I agree, the body looks great, looks like a perfect runner, and could even make a decent shelf queen. Nice find, it's always cool to find stuff just around the corner. That way you don't have to wait to get it! Not to mention saving on shipping. I would put something to protect the bottom of the chassis, it looks like it's in pretty nice shape. Now that I got my first Gold Pan a few weeks ago, might be time to keep my eye out for a worlds, good looking RC10. Hope you enjoy it!

Re: Finally got a Worlds Car :)
reggie is as bad with worlds cars as the guy we build REAL cars for. i mean honestly.......... how many 68 cutlasses do you really need? i'm not complaining since it pays my bills, but come on......slotcarrod wrote:Charlie don't surf wrote:

Re: Finally got a Worlds Car :)
The World car comes with some color variations.
The first car kits comes with white parts excepted the front and rear reinforced arm. White comes black as the stock of white parts goes down.

Nice car, the Worlds Car is my favourite - looks in great shape too
Strange that for such a high-end car, that it came fitted with relatively low-grade electrics?

Re: Finally got a Worlds Car :)
I was supprised about that too. The only white parts on the care are the servo mounts. Other than that its all black. I put a good size order in on tower and found some parts on e-bay as the graphite rear tranny brace was "modified" slightly. I should have everything by the weekend so I'll start the rebuild then.
Now to figure out what worlds car to do a replica of
Did Cliff Lett ever run a black worlds car????????
