sounds like you have a bad cell (or 6). they have enough capability to run a few milliamps on the servo and esc, but with any heavy loading they can't supply the current. This is apparent by the fact that the motor spins slowly.
After my trip to the local hobby store, it looks like the battery is fine but the speed controller needs to be replaced. Anyone know where I can get one New or used (Futaba 210CB) on the cheap?
Hi all, this is my my first post on the site. After time away from flying RC, I'm introducing my son to the fun world of RC with cars. I've always wanted an RC10 as a teen in the late 80's but flying was my thing then.
I've been looking at several...

Great advice, thanks guys. This is what I was hoping for - a good starting point for the motor, ESC and battery. I'll def spend more on the radio - I'm a Futaba guy for planes and can only imagine that their surface radios are also great.
Hello all. Recently aquired a lot of vintage rcs listed as for salvage and included the rc10 team car rolling chassis. Born in the early 80's, this car was a dream as I ran Tyco and nikko cars while bothering the local hobby shop weekly looking and...

Picked this car up a few weeks ago off eBay. The overall condition looked promising. When I received the car it was 100% intact and in good shape. The car was covered in leaking shock oil, dust, and rust. The tires were unused but marred with old CA...

Do you notice any handling differences between the RC10 graphite team car and the RC10 team car with tub chassis (both fitted with white nylon parts throughout)?
I haven't driven either yet. Been a while...greetings all :)

I would say the tub chassis has more flex and probably a lot bigger sweet spot for setup
I have a set of team car shocks I picked up off ebay but, they didn't have the seals in them.... :( I looked through an old team car manual, and the rebuilt kit I have doesn't look like the one in the manual? Any suggestions?

Make sure you de-burr all the spacers and make sure there is no plastic flash in them, it will tear up shock seals and make them not work well.
