Thanks Jason. Those will be wearing new TF8/TR8's about 30 seconds after hitting the mailbox!

Once I get a one way it will be off to the track. I may shoot a little video when I finally do run it.

Jeff I have a surplus Maverick (similar to the Pro Radiant) shell which Im not using. You could run that till our good buddy Mr Lex makes the pro radiant shells.
This shell is in very very good condition. If you want it, its yours. :D

Jason,

I will see if I have 1 I can spare. The remaining decals are clear, not white backed like on my original car. What I did for my Houge car is bought a sheet of white sticker from my LHS and stuck the clear backed sticker on the white sheet then cut it out with about 1/8" white border. It looks just like the original, which by the way was the white sticker that was on the outside of the Pro Radiant box. I used to have a stack of them. I had a giant stack of the clear sheets, but over the years gave them all away. I did send 2 to mrlexan for reproduction. What I'd like to see is some AYK decals reproduced so I can recreate my body and wing.

I'm about to head to the post office to get some shipping supplies. Your care package will ship today. If you need anything else let me know ASAP!

Jeff,

just as curiosity, why did you change out the ayk shocks? I always felt they worked as well or better than associated shocks. I'm not speaking about this car, as I know you are making it a replica, but originally? was there a performance advantage or was it just easier to get parts?

I got the car right before a regional race, which ended up being the first race for the car. The pic in my avatar is from that race and may have been taken before the car was even run, I don't remember for sure. With no time to tune we went with what we knew, and we had the parts to fine tune. They just stayed on from there. My replica will have the gold shocks but any others I build will probably have B4 threaded shocks. Again, it's what we know. I've never even tried the AYK shocks. Maybe one day....

Jeff to my suprise the Pro Radiant/Boost shocks work very well. I started out with the teflon AE shocks but wanted to have the black alloy units so I ended up trying the originals. They work very smoothly I might add. Still Im suprised.

Great paintjob Jeff....but.... I will have to be honest with you- while that shell is a great fit it's just too modern and space age for this car in my opinion. I don't mean to offend but I reckon your talents are going to go a long way in sorting a proper AYK body and paint scheme for this classic. Still while your waiting this is a very good substitute.
