LOL That's what you'd think but that time of year here is absolutely amazing. We had 70s, dry and clear last year and thats honestly what its almost ALWAYS like that time here.JHarris wrote:I have several vehicles in various stages of their build that will be used at this race. I'm looking forward to it! The only issue is Ct, in the "fall"??? Come on guys, we have an indoor track down here and it never gets below 50 degrees! I sure hope the place up there is heated....

Not as of now. I'm looking to make a couple changes to classes but nothing confirmed yet. I generally don't like rules so I try not to have too many amd the most important one is to have fun. I'm moving this week amd plan to put a pot more time into the race once I'm done so check back in the next couple weeks.

4wd is going to be awesome this year, I don't think it's going to take the spotlight from 2wd, but it's going to be very competitive...
From RCHR alone we have 5-6 cars that are going to be competing in 4wd...
Who else is in for some 4wd fun??

Re: 2010 VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS OFFICIAL THREAD• SEPT 16-
I will be sitting out this year. Last year the feel of a vintage get-together was definitely diminished imho... very little show-n-tell, telling stories, swap meet, etc and more dedicated racing with too many qualifiers. Getting yelled at by an announcer several times when not a single racer was complaining turned me off to the whole scene too. Run your regular events that way, fine... yell at me to get out of the way (when I already was more than yielding) so a local can get through is not needed at a vintage event.
I'm hoping that some day it's a large enough event that classes are more divided by advances in the technology (i.e. pre-1988 or so). I've said this before... the idea of getting the old buggies together on the track like bitd is gone, replaced by how close can we get to the cutoff to get an edge. I used to like running my Hotshot against Samurais and Optimas and MIP RC10s. The 'classics' class was the closest to the mixed breed racing of the 80s, but I think that the boundaries will be pushed for that group as well this year.
My 2 cents... it was 100 bucks but I had to pay for other people's healthcare.

The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

Aww come on Jeff, he did it to me a couple of times while I was racing in 2wd and in Truck, I just rolled with the punches...
I'm running a ZX this year, while a couple of people will be running the Shoemakers... I might let my daughter run my Bearhawk, unless Brandon runs classics again...
