Re: RC10T Runner by slotcarrod
I always use Velcro to mount my Futaba 2.4 RX. I can swap from car to car in just a second or two. The Velcro acts as a shock absorber as well!

Yes the colour scheme is sweet, the poor quality pics don't do it justice! Here is the truck as it sits now.

Thanks for the nod! I just need to pick up the bearings and I can start back up with my project. I'll keep an eye on this thread for more tips.slotcarrod wrote:Thanks for all the compliments guys! Re: RC10T Runner by slotcarrod
are you going to do anything special with the shock bodies as far as the color scheme? Maybe anodize black or orange?

Re: RC10T Runner by slotcarrod
To anodize them orange or black would be sweet, but it's beyond my budget and I want to keep the teflon coating! They will stay original Team green with black springs.

Re: RC10T Runner by slotcarrod
That brace came with the truck. Worlds cars and later 10t's came stock with them. You could purchase it from Associated as a Stealth hop up back in the day.
If you look at the first few pictures on page one of the truck in its original state, you will see a nice Twister decal on the brace! I could not bare to remove it, but the colour did not match my scheme! So I just flipped the brace upside down!
I sooo mart!

Re: RC10T Runner by slotcarrod
It only came with one orange tube
, but would you like another colour for free! They are the very nice Trinity type tubes. They can be twisted in a knot and will not stress the plastic or split. If any one wants any of the other colours shown in the package I can mail it to you for free!
Never mind, for my RC10talk brothers I will purchase another set of antenna tubes. Bunsmonkey, pm me your address and I will send an orange one to you!
If anyone wants one or two free tubes I have 2 purple, 2 green, 2 pink and 2 yellow. Don't be greedy, I will only give 2 tubes at most per member!

Re: RC10T Runner by slotcarrod
I really like the way this truck is turning out! The painted logos and short antenna tube are really nice accents. Any plans to pick out tHe lettering on the tires?

Re: RC10T Runner by slotcarrod
Thanks! No lettering on the tires, it is going to be a runner, although that would look very cool in orange. I like the idea!RedScampi wrote:I really like the way this truck is turning out! The 2 green tubes are spoken for! I have 2 purple, 2 pink and 2 yellow remaining!

Really cool build. This inspires me, as it is done with essentially un-modified parts from various manufacturers - you see, I just don't have the tools nor the skills to build something as custom as many folks show on this forum.

Re: RC10T Runner by slotcarrod
Wow Awesome Truck!! How were you able to get the orange paint on the rpm stuff so cleanly? I think a rad Harley Davidson body would top it off nicely
Re: RC10T Runner by slotcarrod
We get things anodized on a weekly basis at work. if you want I can ask our planner if they use orange and how much it would cost? I know that they can do black.slotcarrod wrote:To anodize them orange or black would be sweet, but it's beyond my budget and I want to keep the teflon coating!
