What products work that should be dead??

Post by THEYTOOKMYTHUMB »

Own any products that still work great, but should have died years ago? This receiver and these speakers were put outside about 9 years ago. The heat and humidity of summer, and bitter cold of winter should have killed them within a year and yet they still perform perfectly! I’ve never taken them in . While they are under a roofed top deck they are not designed for outdoors and have lived thru brutal conditions! I’ve gone completely Yamaha/Paradigm inside, but these babies still rock on the back deck! Just felt I should pay well due homage…What do you have that should have died?

7.2V Tamiya hump battery packs.

Whatever they made those cells out of they should have never stopped.

Did those even work when they were new?

I've got two of them myself and have never had a lick of problem with them. The battery door tabs on both have broken off, but nothing a rubber band can't fix.

Period Tamiya Boomy with MSC, bushings and Aristokraft Challenger 250 radio, never ever cleaned or taken apart, not even for basica maintenance - still take her for a ride once in a while and she runs just fine... all parts original

You know?.... 80% of Ford trucks built since 1970 are still on the road! The other 20% made it home!

Futaba Magnum 3PB 1024 PCM radio !!!! Never let me down, have always had one since starting racing, and still have three, of which one is Brand-new. Guess its just old habits, messing with the tiny dials, and the way it feels in the hand.
