Fibre-lyte Graphite Buggy

Here is the start of my next build. I have been acquiring parts for about a year and finally got everything together. Picked up the correct drill bits and countersinks to do the front end and hope to start on the chassis sometime next week. Apparently they no longer have the template to drill the front end so it comes un-drilled. The Fibre-Lyte tub is really a thing of beauty. Those guys make some nice looking parts.

That is so awesome, I am a sucker for Fiberlyte parts. I love the twill patterns, reminds me of R/C in the early 90's. Did you recently buy the pan, or a while ago. I had inquired, but never heard anything back. I wanted to ask about the motor mount, is that fiberlyte too, I had never seen one like it?

That buggy is going to be sweet man. I love those Fibre Lyte parts too, especially those tubs. I also like those Kose axles. I don't know how you kept from piecing it together as you got the parts...the big collection of unopened parts is impressive for me.

The fiberlyte parts were bought about a year ago. They were a great company to deal with and the quality and look of the parts is awesome. I would keep trying them as I would guess they are still making the tubs. Can't remember where I got the motor mount. It has been on my workbench for awhile and matches the fiberlyte parts really well although I don't think its from them.

I mocked up the nose plate last night and it shouldn't be too hard to drill and countersink. A little nervous about messing it up but it isn't doing me any good right now without holes . Once the front plate is done the rest of the build should go pretty fast if everything bolts together correctly.

I've been squirreling away stuff for this build for awhile. The tub is so cool looking I wanted to do it justice with some nice parts. I sold off a chunk of my collection over the last few months so I could raise money and have time to work on builds like this that have been planned for awhile. Hope it turns out. I spy a front shock tower for the MIP 410-L conversion...but I do not see any 410 parts. Will this be a 4WD RC10. I also ordered the carbon chassis not long ago for my MIP 410-L but it has not arrived yet. I went with the standard weave though. I'll post pics of my build when I get the parts in.

I ordered a few different towers just so I would have them. It was cheaper to get a few extra parts than to have to pay for shipping again from the UK. This will be a 2wd buggy as I don't have a legends kit. Back when I ordered the chassis there was talk of MIP doing a new version of the Legends kit which would have been cool to put in this build. I think that all fell through though so this will stay 2wd.
