And you go to so much flipping effort to find the right bits too, is it your attention span that's the issue here

Re: Cliff Lett RC10 Replica
actually, the biggest thing that has been holding up the masami car, as well as other builds, was the lack of new hardware. that issue has been taken care of now. other than finding an original protech body, or a re-issue with the wavy window net, i'm pretty sure i have everything i need to finish that car.
my attention span could use some help. my biggest problem is that i have alot of stuff i want to build, and i always seem to find more. well, there's just not enough money to go around to build everything i want in a resonable amount of time. then with what little money i do have to spend, i spread it out across a bunch of builds and nothing ever gets done. or it takes forever to get done. as much as i tell myself that i'm going focus on one certain build until it's finished, it never happens.

Cool Scr8p!
Not sure about which one you're creating; but I myself have been working on this one quietly for some time now, except for a few people here that know.
So far I have got the car, chassis mill-work, nose mill-work, hard anodized shocks and hard ano'd shock caps, all the tires (new X-pattern and ribbed fronts, clear turbo mirage body, wing, motor and electronics already. Just need to find the time to finish her and paint her.
Looking forward to your build Scr8p!

do you have these from back in the day, or did someone do them for you? those have been keeping me away from a different masami replica.Ruffy wrote: hard ano'd shock caps,

Re: Cliff Lett RC10 Replica
Yes, They are originals from Associated.
Are you also making this Cliff version? Just curious as your builds are always very nice!
My biggest question here are the rear shocks, it appears he has the black MIP shock bodies on the back... if so I have it covered as I still have my old set of MIP shock bodies from way back when, in new condition.
Maybe I will get the chance to ask him while I am in California in two weekends.

although the one you're doing was on my replica list awhile back. i still have the new losi tires for it, too. but there again, those pesky hard ano'd shock caps.
and yes, i'm 99.9% sure the rear shock bodies are mip. i had that part covered too.

NICE Collection of MIP bodies you have!
I only have a full set given to me by Eustace a long time ago, to try out.

Re: Cliff Lett RC10 Replica
Haha! I have too much on my plate lately to "race" to build it.
Ok more info for Cliff's 1990 Winner.
I just found out that those are NOT MIP shock bodies in the rear. They have a very dark hard anodizing on the Associated Shocks.
