V One spring cup dimensions

Post by Coelacanth »

If anyone here owns a Kyosho V One, I'd love to know some exact specs on the spring cups for the shocks. What diameter of spring do they retain, and what is the diameter of the shock shaft hole in the retainer?

I'm looking at an aftermarket alloy part that I'm hoping will work with Turbo Optima Gold shocks instead of the black plastic cups. I'm 90% sure the V One cups will work with the Gold shock springs & shafts, but 100% sure is always better before paying money. :) TIA

V One's are pretty rare. I've only seen one, and it was in the box.

Ahh, had no idea. But they must borrow parts from other models...are the shocks pretty much similar in specs to the Kyosho Golds?

I have an update for this topic. The ONLY blue alloy spring cups I found that will fit the Kyosho Gold/3Racing shock springs are the 3Racing units made for the Kyosho V One. I checked out practically every other brand I could find, including buying some meant for a Yokomo, and none worked perfectly. The Kyosho Gold/3Racing springs were a bit too small to fit over the Yokomo cups' inner rings.

These ones work perfectly and look great, too!
