MIP sorta did the opposite of what RPM did with making a transmission that lowered the gear ratio to make it easier to run modified motors. MIP molded a new idler and diff gear to lower the internal ratio while keeping the standard Stealth top shaft.

I think for an RC10 but holes on bottom don't appear so, all metal diff, pretty cool. Case has a crack where pointer is but it would still be functional. Could use some new bearings but it spins freely. MIP experts?

I have no idea, its been in a drawer and I think came with some car I bought way back. Actually will probably sell it as I have no interest in it.

Hi everyone,

I got a MIP gearbox in a box of bits from Felabay a while ago and I'm wanting to use it on the plank .

Last night I stripped it and amazed all metal gears, plus ball diff, BONUS!!
Never knew anything about these before hand.

So maybe some of you remember the shafts. They where made of plastic.
I remember when I used them the car was very quite. weird but so it was.
It could only be used in the MIP box.
What was the brand :?:

Here's some pics of a cool project I just finished. It's based on an early MIP gearbox. It uses two pieces of G10 for the sides, one piece of acetal for the centre spine and another G10 plate for the motor mount. The bearings are 8x5mm flanged....

Hi all,

Can Anyone help?? I have a MIP gearbox, but I'm not sure which motor plate fits it??

Is there one available or is it a case of making a standard one fit??

Any help would be great...

You could use a spacer for the missing one... And FYI, you will most probably need to mill the bottom of the motor plate to make it fit and that will wipe off the bottom hole for the screw that retains the gear cover. I took out my MIP tranny from...

I am a fan of the Losi LRM transmission and the upgrades available for it..so this is a cool one. This MIP L-260 kit includes a different top gear and diff gear to change the original LRM ratio from 2.18 to 2.6

Keep in mind the early Mip SP-4 outdrives for the SP-3 diff were short, and the later version SP-4 for the Pro & Plus diffs were a tad longer. The late version still fits the SP-3.

Are the MIP shiny cvd bones the same as the regular bones except for the finish or is there supposed to be a performance advantage?

There is the standard shiny ones, which I believe is nothing more than the finish. Then there is the shiny aluminum ones, which are obviously different.
