Erik is indeed back in Belgium among wafels and beers. All my thoughts go to Japan, such a great country with great people! Unfortunately, these earthquakes are bound to happen again and again...

I tell ya... 2012 end of the world. :P

Look how Japan has persevered over the years in spite of the destruction Godzilla has caused. If that's any indication than they will get through this.

I've got a weekly telecon meeting with folks in Yokohama, it was cancelled this week for obvious reasons. I don't know if they'll be back next week or not. The have intermitent power as TEPCO is cycling it to different areas different times of the day. Also a co-worker is supposed to go over there for two weeks, but I think with all the bad press about the radiation I don't think he's going. Although I don't buy all the crap in hear in the press, they sure do have some scared.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

My thoughts exactly. I work with a fellow that has family in S. Japan. He says its bad. The TV shows very selective information. He said its more like the pictures they had in our school books after the Atom Bombs where dropped. In a Tornado, it goes here..and there..... In a Hurricane (or Cyclone) stuff gets blown apart and around.. water damage. He said after this tsunami and quake, its biblical destruction.
