Nice! You have enough bearings in the box for that tranny?

It will be one driver. Pete Tozser, a local AE team driver, very fast and very consistent!

I cant wait to see the results too. Maybe I will build one really shitty to see if he notices :P

Just kidding Rod, if they are all built shitty, then he will never be able to tell

Anyway, second one down. A quick note Rod, there was a felt seal missing, so I installed the one on the left side and put the felt retainer aside for you. The retainer I did use, I had to put a drop of CA glue on it to keep it in place. This car turned out really nice and smooth all round.

That is fantastic VAE!

You been spying on us again Reg? How did you get that pic?

VAE, my only concern is the idler gears. I think we should use the black stronger type! Do you have any with you?

I completely forgot about you mentioning that...I was just thinking about the stealth trans, but make sense to switch them in the 6-gear as well. I don't have any at all. I can grab a couple from you when I come by. I can also grab the graphite car and the CE car too if you have the parts for them ready. I been avoiding calling work, but I think they will need me sometime next week.

Finally back at this project again. I grabbed the graphite and early CE cars from Rod a couple of days ago. Here is what they look like at the time. Hopefully in the next couple pf days I can get some work done to them. Since I am hoteling it for a few days in Calgary, I'm guessing that if it rains I will get a whole lot done, but if not I will likely be running my graphite runner at the track.

It did rain a little today, but there were just scattered showers. Luckily for you Rod, that means I got some work done today...but I also got to the track too. I had to stop when I broke a steering block, which broke when landing a jump awkwardly after my negative lead going to my battery came off. And luckily for me my steering block is a B4 one on my graphite runner :D

Anyway, here is what I got done...The graphite car is done with the exception of the tranny and it needs outer front hing pins and proper turnbuckles. The steering turnbuckles are a tad too short right now. I used my turnbuckles and rear outer pins I had in my travel pack to get it to the stage that it's currently at. The previous mentioned techniques were used to restore this one too. Polished shock shafts and pins, and rebuilt the shocks. Going to rebuild the tranny tomorrow.

Got all I could get done before leaving town Rod. The CE car needs the longer front shocks and appropriate front tower, hing pins (all of them), and a trans brace. I might dye all the white parts black, but we'll see. Also, that graphite car could use a proper set of tierods. Here are some photos :D
