Its the worst thing in the world. I cried like a baby when my cat died 2 years ago. We went to the shelter a few months later but didn't find one that we liked. As we were leaving a lady was bringing in a cat that needed to be put down. The cat was crying from being in a strange environment and in a cage and sounded just like ours that had passed. I broke down all over again right there. A couple of weeks after that my wife and I each found one that we liked and couldn't decide which on to get so we got both. I hope you get through this emotional time as best you can.

Jay, the euthanization is super quick. shelby would never know what happened to him. I think it would hurt you more to see him in pain if you let him go naturally.

Jay I'm so very sorry to hear. I don't know what I would ever do with out my dogs either and I know how close yours are to yours and your wife's hearts. I feel like i've never met Shelby but I feel like I know her from your avatar all these years. My heart goes out to your family.
