I personally have not driven one but a buddy of mine has 2 (one for him and one for his wife) and he LOVES it. It's an Ultima Short Course truck without the same bumpers and having a buggy body instead of the short course body, aside from that it's the same. It should run REALLY well.
Yeah I got 2 of them. One I modified with a bunch of hop up parts and the other I use stock as a beater. The only thing I dont like is the body, its a pain in the ass to put on and take off. Other than that its not a bad car and can take a beating
I made a thread about this way back. I think throwing the RB% components - shorter chassis, and narrower arms on a DB would be really cool. I think it would be much more "scale" in appearance then. Do any of you Ultima DB owners out there already have a RB5? COuld you try it and post up some pics!! Might just convince me to build one for myself...

The steering setup I used should also work on the Ultima's ladder chassis. The Lazer steering I used can be configured like a stock Ultima or arranged like I did which is similar to most modern race buggies.

As evo mentioned higher up these are 4-5 mm shorter than the optima ones. You can tell cause the optima ones would never fit between the outdrives and those rear axle carriers.

I've had this one almost ready for awhile, but only put the electronics in last saturday evening as the radical ultima was not doing well on the slippery hard clay track.
