all of the buggy noseplates were the same up until the worlds car came out...... gold or black.

it's definately a 6 gear. as keith pointed out, you can see the two cap screws at the rear of the trans brace. and to go along with the gold shock caps, it also has the 4 hole front tower.

i can't say i've ever seen the tq-71's on a C.E. but, who knows. maybe this is an early model being packaged at the same time as the graphite kits, and they had an abundance of them? :?

They were also used on the early CE's along with the TQ21 rear tires.

The square cut ("A") nose plates ran right up until the World's Car. I don't recall seeing a World's style gold nose plate before the C chassis CE's came out. I suppose there were some late tub Team cars that had the later nose plate, too.

I thought about that lightened nose plate but when I looked at the manual it showed the squared off original plate so I figured they were still using the squared and didn't come out with the lightened one in gold or black until the 94 world's car showed up. I guess they were just lazy or forgot when they did the manual, one or both. Maybe I have an early manual also.

back on my RC10 project , I learn a lot regarding RC10 on the forum  but I'm not an expert ...
yes it was a six gear .

I would like to assemble an early version using this rc10 CE version ,
I found these last years some spare parts ,(i also bought a protech replica lexan body )

so , I have a question , is it possible ? . ( you should know that chassis is "A" stamped )

Sure is, looks like all you need now is the correct rear rims and tires, and you are good to go!

Your front shocks seems to be .71" and you will need .56" !

No stamps just a design change with the worlds car and CEs of that time.
