Why don't you apply for BST access? It's actually a very good policy and keeps the site more or less free of folks that are only here to buy or sell rather than contribute to the forum...

Do you ever read you posts before submitting and wonder what impression they may give to others?Kyosho Fan2 wrote:I have no access to the for sale section (whoever thought that idea up is a moron) so if you have add below. Cheers.
Might be worth a thought in the future.
Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.

All other sites give you access to view but this site doesnt do that. Rather daft. Still maybe a reason why its not as busy as the rest. As its a forum i can say pretty much what i like so long as i dont swear. A lot of people say much worse regarding the person who runs this site on the other forums.

other sites im on dont even let the user see that area of the forum for 90 days + 10 posts
its all an effort to keep things in check, nothing is perfect but its a pretty common way of dealing with it

You've got 206 post. You should be able to gain access into the BST. I take it those other sites didn't have what you were looking for huh?

LOL. Yes. Interesting indeed. BST access was thought of to prevent threads like this.
Unfortunately it does not always work.
Just get BST access. Its not that hard.
And by the way, as far as people flaming RC10 Talk on other formus it is because they come here, dont read the rules and then get pissy because the mods tell them to read the rules after they flagrantly break them.
This is kindergarten stuff man. Read the rules, be nice and enjoy your stay.
Seems some people just dont get this very simple concept!
rant over.

Re: Lazer ZX/ZXR truck conversion
I'm a member on quite a few RC sites and each one has a little different of a "flavor".
When I want to come to a site that has adult-level conversation and maturity. I come here. When I want to find a huge RC for sale section, I go to some tech place. When I want to see a bunch of overpriced ads with scammers running amok and a bunch of fanboys yelling at each other, I go to the universe.
I know it sounds like I'm knocking the other sites, I'm not. I enjoy them, but their open policies allow things to become a little too, well, a little too open sometimes.
This is an adult community based on respect of each other in the hobby we all enjoy with special attention to the vintage side of things. This shouldn't be a surprise because who's going to enjoy the vintage side more but an older crowd.
Take the time to follow the steps to join the B/S/T section. You'll be happy you did. You'll also be happy that the rules are in place because 99.9% of transactions on this site go well. It's refreshing to go into the B/S/T section and not worry if I'm getting scammed or what condition my item will ACTUALLY be in. You may think that the rules are moronic, but once you take the time to follow them, you'll see the true benefits that exist because of them.

I had a few things to add but sgirouard put it more eloquently. So I'll leave it at that.tsan wrote:I could see this thread becoming a very interesting read.

Re: Lazer ZX/ZXR truck conversion
I'm a moderator on a couple of other forums. We restrict access to both the buy/sell sections and the lounges at first. It controls the amount of spam we get. That's why it's done. Before the restrictions were put in place, cleaning up the forums was a full time job.
