I guess that it is dissolved now, as I can not find any info on it- as I recall ( in the mid 70's) the M/K was a huge land preserve that bordered the Rockies and then east in Northern Canada at that time they were leasing very small amounts for natural gas/oil and wood I also cannot recall what M/K stood for, it was two names together representing some explorer and another-
BTW I was almost Canadian In Northern NY I am like Canadian Light
I am out in Winnipeg working for the next couple of months .I should be back in Toronto some time in September . I'm sure a bunch of us could gather for a bit o a vintage event . Maybe Adam can make it as well . I will keep you posted . Hey Reggie , your welcome up here any time eh !
It would be great to meet some of you guys - you can critique my cars
At least it would be good to talk to some people who actually know something about the RC10 (unlike most of the LHS guys )
Although the guy at Galaxy Hobby used to have one and raced it and the last time I was there with the car, there was an old guy there who says he had one that he raced and says he won the majority of his trophies with it. Claims to have won 80+ trophies. Gave me some good suspension setup tips
Why dont we plan a september weekend to gather when Paul gets back, I have Paul's new project sitting here on shelf storage. and probley parts to trade etc.
Sleeps with a night light on, not because he's scared of the dark but because the dark is scared of him...........stay thirsty my friends
I/We should be looking at getting together something maybe.... late september. We used to have a little race set-up in Oshawa, a small track that the vintage stuff wouldnt get trashed on, but the owner bulldozed it last summer. We met a few times here and there no real home. As soon as I get planning something I will PM those new local members who showed interest on here plus the regular crew.

Theres a small track in plattsville ontario ( near kitchener) that might work, only a couple jumps and a nice drivers stand. How many people would be up for a race / swap meet / show and shine? What all classes would we run
I was thinking that I should make a setup board for myself, but I don't have any experience using them.
Does anyone here use one? Are there anything that make one better to use?
what's a good size for 1/10 buggies and Stadium trucks? 16 x20 seems...

This may be an off-topic question. With the data from the 4-corner system, it seems to me you're very limited on adjusting existing weight. You would have to add weight to even things out.
You are correct. The adhesive backed lead wheel weights...
Hey, not sure where to go with this, but figured some of you might be able to help. I'm seriously considering going to the F1 race in June 2013 at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve mainly because of proximity to the US and also because I've heard great...

You can't go wrong in Montreal. It's a very fun city with a lot to do and see. Good times.
I bought my JRx2 when they first came out. The box didn't even have any pictures on it, just JRx2 on the lid. I traded the box to a big time Losi guy at the local track. I have mostly Associated stuff and felt the box should be in a Losi collection....

Well I am back to RC10talk! Had a bunch of stuff going on with my job, and as that goes - just snowballs. Had to whittle some of the collection down, but am now back on my feet, thank goodness! So to everyone, I have not been ignoring you, just had...

Maurice, it is good to see you. I am glad everything has worked out for you. If there is anything I can do for you, let me know.
Hello I am new to this fantastic board. I have found a ton of useful information and lose the subforums for the different makes of all the old school cars. I do have a question though; what makes a care a works car? I have seen this in many posts...

Works typically means a factory special. More an English term than American.
So this board is mainly for vintage RC10, etc., so I was wondering where do you go for non-vintage forums?

Be careful learning at rctech....lots of guys that know tons and tons of nothing.
Yup, for every 5 pages of text, you might find a few worthwhile posts. Sometimes finding something important & useful there is like searching for a needle in a...
Bill, Is there a means in which you can add a Select All , on the current visible page of course, in the Messages area? It would help greatly when cleaning out old mail. Or is it there and did I miss it?
