Those are pretty slick. About $300 shipped to the US for the B4/4.1 kit.

the do look cool, wish they would of at least "finished" the cars and took better pictures lol. makes all the difference on products. thats why tamiya always did well with box art, and associated did good with their ads. i always thought kyosho photos and ads were blah!..

i always wanted a X11 also, but at 358pounds, thats like $585 bucks, thats SOO much money for a car.. especially with everyone saying bad stuff about the cars, like they dont take big jumps well, and they are harder to drive overall.. parts are a bit expensive also..Charlie don't surf wrote:Is the x-11 still available? but i gotta say i love the slammed body style, think the car is amazing for sure.

That is exactly what AE should be doing to compete with the 22. I wish that AE would put out an anniversary edition or something like that to bring the 10 back to aluminium.

only thing i dont like is the lack of a gear cover, would seem you would want to add that to appeal to a international audience, rather than running on carpet. i would love to run off road on carpet here in the US

Wasn't there a discussion on here about a milled chassis that was a prototype or something? I can't remember the details but these look the same. I suppose if you've seen one completely milled tub you've seen 'em all.
EDIT: I think this was it: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=14389

amazing to see that industry started on aluminum tubs and chassis's, then to graphites and composites, now back to alloy tubs lol. some of the new products are great, the durango, the 22, these conversions, etc lol...

I've got a mid motor XXX conversion. It is the best handling car I've got regardless of track surface. It's even better than it was as a standard rear motor XXX and I'm also including in terms of rear grip. Mid motor is the way to go. Most people just haven't figured out how to do it well yet. I may play with my XX to turn it into a mid motor as well since I'm never going to run it again. you don't need a special gearbox. I use and prefer an idler gear between the pinion and the spur gear. This allow the spur and slipper assembly to rotate in the same direction as the motor and rear wheels which is the secret of mid motor rear grip.

looks like you'd need to run saddle packs. that would keep me from buying it.

Re: Anyone See these conversions for B4/RB5?
I think I spot a new trend in chassis design and layout that might mean saddle's all around in the newer cars.....but I have been wrong before!!
I don't have any either, RC10's and 10t's don't need em!!
But as fast as some of the Lipo's are changing I would buy them and stack them in the tray-
