Thank you everyone I got hit hard with the hurricane, Happy Birthday to me Our power went out Friday at noon and is still out and will be most of the week. lots of trees on my house and shed. but everyone is safe. thats all that matters. I wont be back untill next week. when the cable and power are fixed. thanks again all. Rick

Thanks Gary, but I could use a good Stihl chain saw a lot more.

I got so lucky, with all the trees, the only damage is 1 dent about the size of a softball in a car hood. one shingle had a tiny corner pokeing up thats it except for the GIANT MESS I have to clean up.


And now their saying its goint to be next week before I get my power back, even though it went out 12 hours before the storm even hit?

Glad to hear no major damage. I sympathize with the mess. We have major wind storms occasionally and there are branches and fallen trees everywhere!

Yep, we have the wind all the time and branches. the power company said this storm was epic! their has never been damage like this EVER in our history. our area was the hardest hit in the whole tri state area. My sisters neighborhood looks like they dropped a bomb. behind my house was a 2 acker horse pasture, now its completely covered with downed trees. we have crews all the way from Ga. trying to help, something like 80 extra crews 24hrs a day and cant keep up. still 100 thousand still with out power, some they say will still be a week before they can get to them.

I must admit I have gotten soft, its a pain with now power. you sure get use to have it and take it for granted. until you cant bath for a week. 300 bucks worth of food in the trash. their isn't a chainsaw, or even a chain for my old one, generator, bottle water or gas bottles to be found in our state. the economy was boosted greatly because of the storm.
