I'm trying to get the best parts off of a graphite chassis for my build up of a black tub RC10. The graphite chassis had what appears to be ball bearing assisted steering servo saver/ bell crank so I swapped that in place of the plastic one (which had tie wraps around it for some reason). It appears that the turnbuckles on the bell crank now hit the trailing arms that are mounted to the front shock mount.
I know I can modify them to make them not hit but before I do, I want to make sure that I'm not setting myself up for future failure by doing so.

That's pretty simple to fix, reverse the inner bearing holder/sleeve so the "nut" side is on the top of the bellcrank. It sounds like the bellcrank is sitting to high

Re: Swapping servo saver/bell crank from graphite chassis
couple of other things about the steering. The original bellcrank had tie-wraps on it to help stiffen the servo saver action and remove slop. it was designed to use the servo with the arms provided by it's manufacturer.
the bellcrank setup with bearings does not have a provision for a servo saver so you should run on on the servo itself.
