Thank You so much. I have asked this article so long and now You scanned it here. Interesting to see, that Jacks car was not a Proformance Kit car.

Must have been funny to return that cover car back to Losi/Jack.

I also have the RCCA article from this race but I didn't like the way the scans came out.

Pretty amazing we had 650 entries that weekend. By far the largest race I ever attended. Although the local indoor track I race at was bringing in a little over 200 entries for a single day a few years back. You would get there at 8am in the morning and leave at 2am that night. There are a couple of new tracks in the area so the entry numbers have dropped but there is still a good turn out.

It's neat to see the J-Car direct drive add for the JRX-2 in that magazine. I still have one. It doesn't look like that one though. Mine isn't a belt drive. I've never used it. I had one in an RC10 and that thing could fly! With the motor sitting off to one side, just don't jump it!

Nice. I've got this race covered in two other magazines, RCCA and RC Model Cars. It's cool to see the different coverage and pics from the same race. Now I just need to get a scanner that works right.

This was a fun race and my first national event after a year of racing. I won the "Q" main in stock. I came to the race with a brand new A&L trailing arm car without running it before. i hated that thing! I have some pics from the race, can I post those here or somewhere else? i am new to this forum.

Here are some pics we took from one of the hills surrounding the Antioch track and one of our pit area. I'm the goofy looking one in the back right adjusting my hat. Notice the BRP trailing arms w/ Schumacher axles on the car hanging in the pit area. So many memories!

Thats pretty funny seeing that article again. I was pretty happy winning that Stock Nationals. Almost made the Mod A also. Missed by less than a sec if I remember right. The year before I was in the Q in mod and the R in Stock at Antioch.
