Was lurking around at another one of my favorite hangouts on the interwebz and came across an Icarus by dumb luck. This will be another fun one and is my oldest project to date.

How the heck does that suspension work? Does the plastic A arms simply "fold" ?

I've always wondered whether the steering (or rather running in a straight line) on these isn't absolute crap, since the front axles come before the steering block pivot. Steering must be really nervous.

Yep, same as the Cox Bandido.

And the Kyosho Pegasus, the base model Icarus...

I see this one has the "upgrade" two the Tamiya 3 step speed control.

I never considered there to be any real hierarchy between them. They were basically all the same for the most part with different bodies.

I think the Icarus came with the 360ST LeMans motor, while the Pegasus came with the RS-540. Is that right???

I think the Icarus came with a silver can too. The 360ST is a 550 can and usually came with Kyosho boats.

I snagged one of these a couple years ago but it was just too toylike for me so I ended up selling or trading it...
