Regarding the cut-off and restart after a couple of seconds: that sounds more like a thermal cut-off to me.
I suppose a normal cut-off in the ESC would leave you with reception and steering capability but no 'gas'.
A good tip the lhs gave me was never to leave the leads branched when storing, even if you have a manual power switch.
That switch does not sit on the power leads and storage over winter could see your lipo going below the critical voltage..
The critical voltage is programmable on some ESC's; usually a percentage of the nominal voltage. I believe my speed passion esc can be set at 5 or 10%. The nominal votlage is easy to recognize for the ESC: 7.4v for 2S or 11.1v for 3S packs

I've got a Castle Mamba Max so I'm good there and I've got a Castle 4600 kv motor too.

I tested the link and it is still good. I'd double check the measurements because it's an old (and one of my many unpopular :lol: ) post, but this should fit nicely. :wink:
