The Killer ( Fox Knock Off) Anybody has one????

Post by Mad Racer »

I'm very curious about the Killer.

It's a Fox Clone with a better rear wing,( Looks like Super Shot) Proper roll cage/motor guard, Rear sway bar, Different wheels. Looks like a Kyosho Optima bumper too.

Any info from anyone would be greatly appreciated..

What's funny is that in the box photo, the directional front wheels are reversed. From what I can see, the left front wheel is mounted backwards. :?

Had one of these back in the day! LOL

The plastic was VERY cheap! I think everything busted withing the first month of running it and was replaced with Tamiya parts. I did get a really cool rollbar out of it though!

Oh my...those wheels are actually mis-manufactured! Now that's what I call cheaping out, making a pair of directional wheels that are the same instead of reversed!

Very interesting! What was the company that manufactured it? Or is it just "Killer"? I don't see a manufacturer's name on the box.

I see those roll bars and motor cages come up on ebay occasionally. Now I know where they came from lol!

Presumably Tamiya sold the Fox design to whoever manufactured this kit. I can't see how they would allow a direct copy to be released otherwise. I'm not sure I like that gold roll bar. The metal rear motor guard would be a very useful upgrade though as the plastic rear motor guard on the Fox was one of the first bits to break...

I doubt Kyosho sold the Optima design to GreatVigor... still, the beagle came out just the same ;)

ditto on the hotshot/ripper... although less similar!
