Just curious on everyone's opinion. Keeping any possibility of re-re out of the equation. I'll bump this in 25 years and we'll see who was right.

I asked a similar question several months ago and got some interesting answers. I'm going to try to keep my Losi Strike nib since it wasn't popular and had a short production run.

I would lean towards high end also. XRAY. Or... hard to get now? Imagine NIB in 25 years...

Traxxass has saturated the market so much, I doubt it will be one of their 'things' that will be of value.

Good point. Lots of people BITD got into RC with an entry level Tamiya or Kyosho, but there isn't exactly a huge cult following for most of those vintage entry levels. Haven't run across KyoshoShadowTalk.com yet...Mindwarp wrote:Traxxass has saturated the market so much, I doubt it will be one of their 'things' that will be of value.

Tamiya's first World Championship winning car (even though it wasnt their design) - the TRF 414, driven by Surikarn - is bound to be a real collectible.

IMO no. Of all the hobby shops I've been in, Traxxass was those marketed things in there. I will say this though, perhaps their X0-1 might be sought after 20 years from now.VintageCat wrote:Couldn't we say that about Associated?Mindwarp wrote:Traxxass has saturated the market so much, I doubt it will be one of their 'things' that will be of value.

I’m guessing a lot of the current 1/8 scale buggies (ie. RC8) will be the next hot collectable. In general they get raced pretty hard and I doubt there will be that many nice examples by the time the current crop of youths start feeling nostalgic twenty years from now.
