Here is the HR aluminum steering linkages. You can see that the servo horn linkage is nowhere's near long enough

I also installed a 10amp CC-BEC and am using a 3s lipo pack

I have a old set of Losi Comp Crawler beadlock wheels I would like to put some Proline Sand Paws on, but of course the tires are too wide for the rims. Here is how it could have looked if there wasn't suck a difference in width. You may notice I added an aluminum servo horn too. I might go with a smaller one later.

For now I decided to swap out the stock tires to the ones I have on my LCC. The stock ones are way too light and with the center of gravity already so high it rolls easy at higher speeds. The stock tires are also very "bouncy", like the have too much rebound to them. Of course it wasn't just an easy swap. I had to swap the pins and hex drives from the losi because the axial hex drive is shaped differently then other hex drives and the axial pins were to thick for the losi hex drives.

Awesome! Too bad the paddles didn't fit, that looks perfect for a FOFF. I'm still awaiting parts to continue this build, and I hope to get an update soon.

Ordered my aluminum axles, aluminum 4 link mounts, and upper aluminum suspension links from RC4WD today, lower aluminum suspension links were out of stock. Also got some 2.2 mud slingers in the same order. I think I'm stuck finding a set of RPM torquers or dish wheels for my FOFF paddle tires. I will use my LCC stock wheels for the mud slingers for now.

Eventually, I want these wheels below. I want to go with a Toyota theme and the wheels look like Walker Evans wheels, which are big with off road toyota guys.

My Wraith is looking more and more like a FOFF truck each day. The paddle tires are mounted on some Axial wheels and I got the lowering kit installed. My 5700 Castle Creations motor went up in smoke yesterday, which makes motor number 3 to make it into the trash. I did some research and found out that this is a common problem. Apparently, it's common that the diff gears were installed backwards in the RTRs. It goes faster in reverse than forward and was making the motors work hard, so I put them on the proper sides. I'm hoping I figure out the motor issues before killing another brushless motor, The plan is to install a Traxxas VXL-3s system in the end.

My aluminum stuff arrived at my house today I realized that when I keep asking my wife to send photos to me of my scores while I'm away at work isn't a good thing. I figure I will wait on this package since it cost a lot and there are a lot of aluminum parts. I will snap some photos when I get back in a few weeks.

Got my hands on my aluminum parts, but I think I will wait to show any more photos until I get new body panels and get them painted too. I am going to try and resist installing the aluminium parts until I have all the parts needed to make this a complete build before photos too.

I stole my Tekin RS 13t combo from my Losi Comp Crawler and geared this beast down a bit. I could resist adding my 2.2 mud slingers, so here is a photo



Also I ordered these Land Cruiser badges to give this a Land Cruiser 60 Series feel

Ok, here's where I'm at so far:

Tires: RC4WD Intimidator 2.2 Formula Offroad Tires
Frame: SCX10
Shocks: Gmade G-Transition Shock Red 90mm
Axles: HPI Crawler King

Don't mind the coat hanger link pins , brass bushing are being worked on.

Looking good! You have that low center of gravity with will help for sure. How do you like those shocks? I will likely swap mine out later on for something with internal springs.

That chassis looks pretty bad-ass, Mindwarp. I'm digging the wheels, they look very similar to the ones I chose for Barney...the same 6-hole alloy beadlock rings, but different plastic centers. What wheels & paddle tires are those? They look like 2.2's.

Thanks for the nice comments guys! Most of the parts were ordered through RC4WD, these guys have an awesome selection. I've ordered 3 times from them and never had an issue.

The shocks are awesome, they have a 2 part spring setup inside that allows them to be used for 'sprung' like I have or swapped for applications such as crawling 'droop' . http://store.rc4wd.com/Gmade-G-Transition-Shock-Red-80mm-4_p_894.html
