Can I control servo thru the ESC signal wires??
Not sure if this is in the correct area? I want to be able to control a small servo thru the signal my ESC gets from the reciever. So basically a Y-harness from motor channel on reciever. What I hope to have as end result is a servo in neutral when ESC is in neutral. servo swings 1 direction when in forward and opposite when in reverse.
Is this possible??
Is this possible??

i've never tried it, but it should work. you won't be able to switch it's direction (without a y-harness that does it for you), or center it. but, with a creative use of servo horn position and linkage, you can probably get whatever you want the servo for to work fine.

Reminds me of the toy r/c cars that go straight forward, but turn in reverse. It would take you 30 minutes to get the thing turned around.
This does sound interesting though.

It will definitely work, just use a Y connection like you said. I have done this quite a few times, using a micro servo to trip a micro switch to activate a brake light circuit whenever I hit reverse on the transmitter. Works perfect.

I would like to configure a horn on my third channel. So when I flip I could use it to call for help.
