I used to love watching FOFF but I've not found a channel that still show it in the UK for about 10 years.
Some serious machines being created here, gotta admit I love those beadlock wheels. Depending on if I sell one of my bikes in the near future I may have to have a dabble at this myself!

Oh, yeah... it's a must. Just be prepared to spend a bunch of money. It reminds me of building a custom rc10 with the amount of money I'm spending

The ones I used were 2.2 axial wheels. I wanted to us bead lock wheels too but they are all too narrow. RC4WD makes a narrow paddle tire that fits the 2.2 bead lock wheels though

Ok so i picked this AX10 up a wile back, I had planned to convert it to a 2.2 scaler but i think its a good candidate for a 2.2 FOFF truck :) I think the rc4wd paddle tires will fit the rims also, im going to measure them when i get home. The truck already has all metal gears and MIP drive shafts.

Anybody have an idea what body was used on it? I cant find a body that matches it, it fits well but is old and beat up lol

No thread jacking intended :?

^ lol just couldn't resist

The paddle tire from rc4wd should fit any 2.2 scale truck wheel

Given the forum we are using I think this thread will have to encompass all of our FOFF builds. That is unless we but a rc10 chassis on one lol

As the class of this buggy is "Formula Offroad", I suggest that the acronym be broken up as follows:

F-Off.
Completed projects: CYANide Onroad Optima | Zebra Gold Optima | Barney Optima | OptiMutt RWD Mid
Gallery - Coel's Stalls: Marui Galaxy & Shogun Resto-Mods | FrankenBuff AYK Buffalo | 1987 Buick GNX RC12L3

An AX10 will be an awesome platform to build an FOFF, you may just need to lower the chassis height. Welcome aboard!

Sounds like a good start! I'm not sure if I'm going to get you to make me any toyota decals now. I ordered some Land Cruiser badges from RC4WD to give mine a 60 series feel to my Wraith.

Although I'm a member of the CT4WD association (Canada Toyota 4WD) and would love a couple CT4WD decals like this one to match mine on my hood. I may have to get the association to make me some, or if you are up for it I can get them from you along with some other Toyota decals.
