I managed to score the nose brace tubes on ebay ( black but I am ok with it )
I got some mathing rear tires for the rims I have , I really have my heart set on some 2.2 buggy rubber for this thing but it hasn't materialized yet .
AND , I got a new body off ebay and painted it up ( no show winner , but good enough for me )

Yep. no wing tubes , I didn't have any and since I am not going to the track I don't see the need for the giant wing.
Pink knock offs were in a "junk" lot I picked up on ebay . I always thought the knock offs were really cool on these cars , pink or not I just HAD to put em on .
Still waiting for some fronts to show up , maybe lime green !
I hereby declare this project DONE ( sorta ), everything is hooked up , Its a runner , there are a few parts I need to really make it right but its totally use-able as it sits.
PICS
The test run went ok except someone assembled the diff incorrectly
I'll finish with a video , nope it's not very good , but the neighbor's kids and my dog had a ball .
I don't care what anyone says , this is what it's all about .
used parts i had, but had to buy some parts to complete :( the cherry on top of this dog is the losi hydra drive stealth trans conversion. DSCN4378.jpg DSCN4379.jpg DSCN4380.jpg DSCN4383.jpg DSCN4384.jpg DSCN4386.jpg DSCN4387.jpg
This is a great site and I would like to get some info regarding RC10 Gold Pan Runner builds. I have a A Stamp chassis and would like to use the same B4 Hub Set Up with B44 CVAs. Most of the builds that I see here in the forum shows a B4 Hub/B44 CVA...

This is looking very nice, you have a cool clean gold runner. :D
So I've been acquiring parts for an old is new type of build. I want to build something that I can possible run at our local track. I've never raced before, so it should be lots of fun.
I want to incorporate as many vintage elements as I can, but...
This A-stamp chassis has been sitting around for a while. I think I bought it from rctenracer. Anyway, I thought I should do something with it, so I'm building a runner with it featuring hex axles all around, RC4WD tires, Gear Head...

I love the combination of that gorgeous livery with the charcature-like oversized head and tires/wheels.
By the way: The early prototype of the rc10 used a Rough Rider body too.
So this is my latest hodge podge of parts I've been picking up in bits and peices.....it's a collection of white parts, mixed with a little handmade 'worlds' chassis complements of ebay, with a sprinkling of new parts for good measure. She's a...
Well I have a simple problem that seems to have a complex answer. My Goldpan weighs in at about 4.25-4.5 pounds and is really quite the piece to try and power. I have the aluminum chassis that has braces on the top and bottom made out of aluminum...

Yeah I got the idea when i got tired of spinning out on pavement and slamming the rear corners into the fence poles and breaking stuff.
This this is basically going to be a stock gold pan rc10 with titanium turnbuckles, stealth tranny and a few mods to lighten and a couple litlle Cliff Lett inspired mods.
