$25 Gold Pan Build
No, I didn't do the whole build for $25, though it was a very economical build. But I did score the roller for that!
This is the seller's eBay pic:
I had a new S1903MG servo and a Reedy Radon 17T on hand, among other parts. I had to buy the high power version of the HK ESC ($16.42 shipped) and a body ($12 shipped). I had turn buckles, the gear cover, bullet connectors, receiver and other hardware, so I only spent $64 putting this together. It's rockin' my original CE wheels with original front tires and Losi rears. I also swapped out the bent rear shocks that were on it with a pair of Kyosho shocks I had laying around, since they closely match the anodizing of the front shocks.
It's pretty colorful on account of using only on-hand parts, but I think it looks decent.
It's actually pretty dang quick on a 2S LiPo, too, easily flipping itself over backwards on carpet. I figure top speed will be around 25 MPH. Gonna run the 6 gear till it breaks, then put in the RPM tranny I recently scored.
As an aside, if anyone can tell me what the heck the front shock tower is from, I'd love to know. I have correct front towers, but I like the looks of this one, so I'm gonna run it!

I was just going to ask about the front tower. Maybe the seller can tell you? Weird

Re: $25 Gold Pan Build
I'd give you $25 and an AE shock tower and shocks for your front shocks. That way you can change the title of this thread to " Free Gold Pan Build"

Front tower is either JG or A&L truck and shocks look like Delta.

Yup JG and Delta. Getting the front shocks by themselves for the price you paid for the car would've been a decent deal...now please stop running them before you scratch them up.gomachv wrote:Front tower is either JG or A&L truck and shocks look like Delta.

Re: $25 Gold Pan Build
Got some advice...this isn't the BST.
Everyone seems to be getting pretty loose with "requests" and deals coming from "build" threads, they're awesome condition Deltas, yup- but unless you want every justalitterscamer joining to sell you crap, I suggest dealing through the right manners, please.

Re: $25 Gold Pan Build
Nothing wrong with running the tower...gomachv can repro more. The shocks you should save for something special.Sixtysixdeuce wrote:Well, OK then! I swapped out the front shocks and tower-
You might consider doing a monster truck with some offset conversion wheels or Blackfoot wheel adapters.
