yet another rc10l project of mine. Advice and opinions?
So i have gone nuts buying these things on ebay lately and i have some ideas but wonder what others might think. So here is the deal. I have this car with pink dyed nylon parts. I really want to keep the nylon pink for this project but want to re dye the parts to freshen them up. I am having a hard time biting the bullet to spend $20 on a pound of hot pink rit though. So i might go black. The car has a cracked chassis but i have an lss chassis i could use. here is the car before i started.
Now the next thing is that i plan on taking the black gear guard lower rear brace and the heat sink and putting those on this jem!
But i also have this stuff on the way
So what i am asking is what would some of you guys do with the options i have? ideas welcomed!

has anyone tried using a neon highlighter to make dye? it might work! cheap alternative and easy to find.

i would convince yourself that you don't want/need the chassis on the left in your last pic, and send it to me.

that might be able to be arranged! After i receive this stuff and make up my mind on what to do with it all i might sell a lot of the parts. I have bought way to many cars lately and after i am done restoring them i might just have to let them go too new homes. I am afraid i wont have the heart to do that though ha ha. my wife is getting pretty ticked at the amount of room my RC stuff is taking up

I want you to know, I let you have that auction.
Was watching it for it's duration but after I found out that the aluminum pod was a one-piece and probably wouldn't fit my 10L I decided it wasn't going to be worth it when I'd just keep the wheels. Had I guessed that bidding would stop under $100 though, I would have bid and at least jacked up your final cost.

That nice lot has some HPI parts in there, including the T-bar brace.

don't buy a pound of RIT dye then. Buy a bottle or a small box of it. Way cheaper that way. If you don't have the ability in your area drop me a pm and I'll get a small box or bottle for ya...

PM me if there is anything specific you really wanted in that lot. I just bid on it cause im a sucker ha ha. I actually didn't think I would win it. I placed a tiny last min bid and went to bed. I woke up and it was mine. I was kind of hoping I wouldn't win lol. Here is an update on the oink car. I installed the LSO chassis.

Just a heads up, you may want to flip the servo, so it is centered and then you should be able to run some equal length tie rods, and run the servo saver with the ball studs on the bottom, not the top.durb69 wrote:PM me if there is anything specific you really wanted in that lot.
