So i have gone nuts buying these things on ebay lately and i have some ideas but wonder what others might think. So here is the deal. I have this car with pink dyed nylon parts. I really want to keep the nylon pink for this project but want to re dye the parts to freshen them up. I am having a hard time biting the bullet to spend $20 on a pound of hot pink rit though. So i might go black. The car has a cracked chassis but i have an lss chassis i could use. here is the car before i started.
Now the next thing is that i plan on taking the black gear guard lower rear brace and the heat sink and putting those on this jem!
But i also have this stuff on the way
So what i am asking is what would some of you guys do with the options i have? ideas welcomed!
that might be able to be arranged! After i receive this stuff and make up my mind on what to do with it all i might sell a lot of the parts. I have bought way to many cars lately and after i am done restoring them i might just have to let them go too new homes. I am afraid i wont have the heart to do that though ha ha. my wife is getting pretty ticked at the amount of room my RC stuff is taking up

I want you to know, I let you have that auction.
Was watching it for it's duration but after I found out that the aluminum pod was a one-piece and probably wouldn't fit my 10L I decided it wasn't going to be worth it when I'd just keep the wheels. Had I guessed that bidding would stop under $100 though, I would have bid and at least jacked up your final cost.
don't buy a pound of RIT dye then. Buy a bottle or a small box of it. Way cheaper that way. If you don't have the ability in your area drop me a pm and I'll get a small box or bottle for ya...

Peace and professionlism.....Kabunga signing off!!!
PM me if there is anything specific you really wanted in that lot. I just bid on it cause im a sucker ha ha. I actually didn't think I would win it. I placed a tiny last min bid and went to bed. I woke up and it was mine. I was kind of hoping I wouldn't win lol. Here is an update on the oink car. I installed the LSO chassis.

Just a heads up, you may want to flip the servo, so it is centered and then you should be able to run some equal length tie rods, and run the servo saver with the ball studs on the bottom, not the top.
So I am creating a chassis for an RC10 project and I have lots of ideas but I don't know if they are all good ones, so I am turning to you purist guys to seek help. I know I have posted about weaves and the RPM rear arms before but need to double,...

Well I amde the big decisions and the chassis is in progress. I'll start a topic towards the end of the month when I have made progress. This thing is going to be awesome. I am after a bunch of parts the tires on the MIP car and like everything...
Just a kind of goof-off project. A frankenstien type of build. I have about all the different styles of RC10's that these parts would go on already built. I am a little tired of trying to find and buy parts to make kit correct modlels. I guess I...
Was recommended your forum by a couple people and glad I finally joined. Let me first introduce myself, I'm Kevin, I am one of the co-founders of RCSoup.com. This year we are doing a couple restoration (well, rebuild) articles on the...

Figured I would update this.. been busy covering events for the site.
I've been talking to a local powder coater.. I'm thinking about having the chassis stuff powder coated. What do you guys think?
One of the builds I considered for my metal Thorp 6-gear transmission was a pan car conversion similar to the Agi-Jammer or Hyperdrive kits, however while doing some learnings about pan cars (I have never owned or had experience with one)
a very...

I'm thinking 1.9 touring car tires can be stretched to fit over the 2.0 diameter too. Fronts are 25mm wide between the outer lips and the rears are 31mm. HPI
Picked this up off the bay. Not as clean as the pic suggested but it's cool. Never been into pan cars so this is new to me and I'm not sure what to do with it. I'm not even sure why I bid on it. I think I just liked the look of the white parts....

There are a ton of 200mm bodies that will fit that car. I have both a 235mm and 200mm car and the bodies for the 200mm are much easier to find. The car looks pretty good, and I agree look for a 235mm car and have one of each.
Making a start on my first project today as the title it is An RC10L really wanted to do a RC12L first but seem very rare in the UK so couldn't find one! So heres some pics of the start of the dismantle and general clean....

True classic, pre-LS! Looking forward to see the final product :)
This one I have had for awhile . Had some spare time this morning so I cleaned up the chassis and rear pod. All the parts are for the dynamic strut front end . Body is the protoform high down force. I can't seem to finish a project completely before...
