Help I.D. Please

Post by wmcwings »

The following pictures are of what is being described as a "RC10 Ascot Sprint car". It is for sale locally and I was wondering if anybody has seen or heard of this before? Is it a "REAL DEAL" or somebody's idea of a mod?

Thanks :D

it's got a hot trick chassis, nose and front shock tower.
i just saw a kit like this on ebay, just the chassis/nose/tower.

i don't know whose cage that is.

those tires are right from the time period, thats how we did'em.

if it's a good deal, go for it. it is a rc10 sprinter for sure.

No Hot Trick parts on that just fiberglass parts dyed red. HT Sprint chassis doesn't have extra mounting holes in the front but it does in the rear for their solid rear axle.

Looks like Mini-Mags + Moody tires too. Maybe he had the alum parts ano'd red and black, but if not you've got some messy paint to clean up.

You've been conditioned.

Wheels are probably dyed nylon btw, not aluminum.

True could be painted...but why polish the side chassis plates to a mirror finish, then paint aluminum wheels. :?: :?

looks like MRP Grand Prix tires (my fav's when I ran Ascot RCRC dirt oval, home to that conversion). It does look like an Ascot kit.

Paint/no paint, for the right price, pick it up :)

So I'm guessing by the eBay auction, the seller either never replied or didn't accept your offer. :?
