Kyosho K-Speed motor, any good?

Thinking of getting a couple of these, one for my Ultima ST, and one for Optima, perhaps.

Anyone got one one, any good? They're a good price, I know that.

I'm not too familiar with it, but a bit of research seems to indicate it's for monster trucks and is a 22T motor, so it's not something well-suited for an Optima. It may also spin in reverse, as monster trucks may be setup to run 2 motors, one in each direction.

Anyone run a Kyosho K Speed Heli Special Mod motor in a buggy? I have one and it apparently a 14 turn double wind. Any info would be awesome, I got a great deal on it at a LHS and Kyosho discontinued it. Amazon has someone trying to get 217 euro out...

what about the brushes? this one has the lay down style brush hoods I have only rear the vertical ones is there any performance advantage or maintenance considerations vs the old style?

I got my ESC wet (found that it was missing a screw from the factory) and it died. I was thinking about getting the SC700 ESC since its water resistant. Are they any good or should I just go with a different brand ? I was looking at the Novak Havoc...

For the price, the sc700 is decent, but IMO it's a big pain to program, listening for the beeps. Once, a friend of mine turned on his b4.1 and this esc got into programming mode. The car went crazy!
Probably his fault, though.

my next question is does the rpms go up from runnin a 6 cell to a 7 cell. Also if so what is the rated speed of the motor as advertised at 7.2 volts

Just picked up a Speed Passion Reventon S, but the motor wires are too short. Does anyone know if I can remove the old ones at the ESC? This model has the wires pre-soldered from the factory on the board, unlike the Pro which has terminals. I really...

I don't use anything less than 60w. It's a good compromise, and hot enough to do all your RC stuff. A 40W iron likely wouldn't cut it.

Anybody ever had a motor like this? I have done some searching and could not find anything about it, It looks to have the name spelled wrong?

It has Speed Gems Chrominum on the can lable

I know Trinity made Speed Gem motor but can find a reference...
