Fastcolor backing?

Post by Mikeyboy »

What are you guys using to back the water based Fastcolor? Does the Pactra laquer paint work as good as the Fastcolor backer?

Backing color is normal the lights color used or white/silver. Black can also be used as a blacking, but this darkens the base coats. I would stick with water base paints for backing if you used them for painting of the body. Good luck post pictures!

I remember reading that you can spray Pactra-type paint over Faskolor but you have to give the water-based Faskolor plenty of time to dry & cure before painting over it with Pactra.

I'm not talking about what color to back the paint with. You have to seal the water based paint with something or else it will chip and degrade with water. I've used the fastkoat product they make and had good results. I'm currious if people use the laquer based paints for this purpose and had good results.
