Ira Dahm's Custom Model

Post by Phin »

Stumbled across a gallery of Ira Dahm's custom model cars just now and thought it was pretty neat. Probably old news to everyone but me though. :P

It's new to me and I loved it! It's another site that just reminds me how inferior my passion about anything is! I mean there are about half a dozen subjects in this world that I consider myself passionate about, but something like that really humbles the soul of anyone. :D

On a slightly related note: I wish a beer wagon like that would travel around here like an ice cream truck.

Bums me out a bit that at the bottom of every page for models built before 2007 there's the Dahm's Racing Bodies logo...but from 2007 on the logo is gone. :(

Pardon my ignorance, but did he die in 2007 or something? I'm familiar with the name, but not the entire history.

Heh nah. I think he stopped using the logo because it's about the time when he sold Dahm's Bodies to Vans Invent.

Well... it could be worse then I guess... Still shaking my head over his commitment though. Unbelievable!

If you lived in Cologne, Germany, you could ride around the city on the Beer Bike with a bunch of your friends  http://bierbike.de/

They've got this in Munich too...it's like they want their population to be drunk. It's one of about 5 things I love in Germany... :)
