If your diff is loosening/ losing it's setting, have you tried replacing the 5-40 nut? I know that sounds obvious but you never know....

No but I will give it a shot, hadn't thought that would be it since it was working so well before I rebuilt it. But that last time I took it off could have been the straw that broke the camels back - thanks for the suggestion. I will report beck with results.

Got it. Has been some time since I last adjusted one of these and was not tightening it enough. Thanks for the suggestions. Tom

are you talking about all the internal gears being 48p? or just the slipper and pinion
