48p spur for 6 gear

Post by Luckyracing »

Now that I have my old RC10 running I am going to need to replace the spur gear. Who makes a suitable 48p spur for the 6 gear? My plan is to purchase the Trinity 19T "Double Ruby" SpeedGem brushed motor. The car is a back yard basher, what would be a good starting point for buying a spur/pinion? Also, should I replace the "diff balls" at this time as well?

This 81 tooth in particular? What would be a complimenting pinion?

Also, RJSpeed makes a direct fit gear for the 6gear RC10. As far as pinions go, just add half-again asmany teeth to make a corresponding size (ex.- 14 in 32pitch = 21 in 48pitch).
The older I get, the faster I was.
