Questions about the B2
Questions about the B2
Been working on a B2 I picked up just have a few questions.
Did all the B2's have the skinny rear chassis plate or did late versions come with the extended 9241 plates? I have a Late B2 but it has the 9241 rear chassis plate with the updated 9267 rear arm mounts. Is it possible that it came this way from the factory, or were these pieces added later on in its life?
Also, has anyone seen a graphite B2 front chassis brace without the two sway bar mounting holes? Or did all the graphite braces have the holes?

Re: Questions about the B2
None of the B2's had a wide rear plate or sway bar mounting holes on the top plate. Only the B3 had these!

Re: Questions about the B2

Re: Questions about the B2
maybe your car had the b3 conversion installed. or, worn out parts were just replaced.
i don't know off hand what all came in those conversion kits.

Re: Questions about the B2
Everything on the car is B2, just not the rear plate and rear arm mounts. It still has the original wheels and tires too so it could not have been too abused or used. But I can't say that for sure
I have been buying carbon/grahite parts for it and they all match the factory B2 parts.

Re: Questions about the B2
Tough to find the parts because you will find B3 style parts in header cards that read B2.
do your front arms have the sway bar ball mount molded in?

Re: Questions about the B2
nope, no sway bar mounts on the arms
and yea it's a bit tricky to find the right parts for that reason. I try to stay away from parts that have the B2/B3/T3 header cards.

Re: Questions about the B2
i have a b2 rear plate that would be good for a runner...rear arm mount holes have some ovaling and it has the usual scratching on the bottom...im sure your looking for mint but let me know if you wanna work a deal on it.
do you think its a bad twilight zone episode for team associated to be re producing a buggy from yesteryear that is capable of beating their latest and greatest production buggy?

Re: Questions about the B2
One of my local shops has some. I have no idea when i'll be headed there next, but I'll grab one for you. If you find one in the meantime, no biggie. I could sell it.

Re: Questions about the B2
Another question. Did the very early B2's have white servo mounts or just the white servo horn?

Re: Questions about the B2
Just the servo horn. I think the middle gear and maybe the diff gear in the transmission were also a white-ish color as well. Its been a while since my B2 build, so I could be wrong. Just seems like one of those gears was white.
Re: Questions about the B2
Mmmk, reason I ask is because I found some mounts on ebay that look exactly like the mounts that are on my B2 and pictured in the manual but they are white.
