Hot Trick HD (Heavy Duty) Rarer than (UL) Ultra Light

Post by rangerg »

I have had quite a few Hot Trick chassis through my hands (keep a few, sell, or trade others). In all of these I have only seen one HD (Heavy Duty) model (Red Fox one pictured), and all the rest were UL (ultra-light). This makes sense in that most people bought hop-up parts to lose weight. The HD ones are 50% heavier and clearly thicker (see pic comparing a UL and HD Red Fox). In looking at Hot Trick projects around the web, I also see UL versions. I think the HD ones are quite rare, anyone else notice this trend?

I would have to agree, it's quite rare to see the hd versions.

Hi Rangerg,

You wouldn't by any chance have a optima hot trick chassis? I've been after one for my optima for a while now.

Regards

Rob

Were all of the different offerings available in HD and UL? I had a frog/blackfoot model a while back that was definitely the HD. Its moved on now though..

Yes, almost all of the chassis and top plates were available in both styles.
