diff help please!!!
so i rebuilt my diff today in my b3 and followed the manuel step for step and now the wheels wont turn when i give it gas, i have tried loosening the diff and the slipper and there is no difference. well i guess i shouldnt say step for step because i was not able to get the screw to get even close to threading with the little spring inside the hub outdrive so i left it out. it was not there whne i took the diff apart either. all the gears look ok. any help and ideas are appreciated. thankyou
Re: diff help please!!!
and when i was putting it all back together the tranny case did not want to close at the bottom where the diff gear is....seems like that is binding it up but i dont see why it would be any different since it was the b3 rebuild kit.....ssooo frustrated with it!

Re: diff help please!!!
Spring needs to be in there. Might have the thrust assy on the wrong side? Gotta start from scratch and tear it apart again before you melt something. The case should not be a tight fit either- something's not right

Re: diff help please!!!
Sounds like maybe the diff rings are not seated on the hubs. Something is keeping your diff from closing completely, which is why you couldn't get the screw in with the spring, and why the trans case wouldn't close. You definitely need to go step for step exactly when it come to the diff, and you can't leave anything out.

Re: diff help please!!!
There are not too many reasons for the spring to not fit, lube is not one if them. I think you have the thrust assembly and screw in the wrong hub, the spring and tee nut fit into only one side properly
That does not explain the case halves, but you have to take it step by step

Re: diff help please!!!
oh really ok cuz i was kinda confused about which side is which on the hubs. i guess ill try switching the thrust assembly to the other hub

Re: diff help please!!!
I don't think that would keep it from closing, just make a big mess. That being said, you don't need much. I just squeeze some into each ball hole in the diff gear.

Re: diff help please!!!
Pull the bolt with washers and balls out, pull the tee nut out. Put the spring in the side that the bolt was in, followed by the tee nut. It should fit in most if the way. If not, you had it right and I was wrong
Re: diff help please!!!
WOW...I feel pretty dumb lol I forgot to remove the old diff drive rings and put the new ones on them. Haha hopefully it goes back together right this time

hey everyone, so I rebuilt my b3 diff and have ran maybe 10 batteries in it now and everything has been good till today. I went to run it and it has like no torque and the top speed is slow. I have the mamba max pro with a trinity nemesis 13.5 turn in it and I was easily keeping up with a stock slash now im getting smoked lol. could it be the diff going out again? maybe just needs more lube? and help is awesome thanx
